Privacy Policy

Who we are
The Well Method is an integrative health and longevity practice based in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, founded by Amy Kahlout, RN, PT. The Well Method is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at hello@wellmethod.ie.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to provide our services:
- Contact details — your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number and age range.
- Questionnaire answers — when you complete a pre-consultation or pre-assessment questionnaire, your answers about your goals, lifestyle and health. This can include health information, which you share only as far as you are comfortable.
- Booking details — the time you choose and the details you give when booking an appointment.
- Programme information — if you become a client, the information you record in The Well Method app and share with your practitioner.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange your appointment;
- prepare for and provide your consultation or assessment;
- deliver and support your programme if you become a client; and
- contact you about your appointment or programme.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or pass your questionnaire answers to analytics or advertising services.
Our lawful basis
We process your contact and booking details to take steps you have asked for before providing a service, and to provide that service. Health information is a special category of personal data, and we process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you submit a questionnaire. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing hello@wellmethod.ie; this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
Your information is seen only by The Well Method. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the practice, who handle it only on our instructions:
- our website and database hosting provider;
- our email provider, and Resend, which delivers emails sent from this website;
- Calendly, which we use to schedule appointments.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under EU law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it. If you complete a questionnaire or enquiry but do not go on to become a client, we delete your answers within 12 months. If you become a client, we keep your records for the duration of your programme and for as long afterwards as professional and legal obligations require.
Keeping it secure
Information sent through this website is encrypted in transit. Access to your information is limited to The Well Method, and we do not place questionnaire answers in web addresses, analytics or tracking tools.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses only the cookies needed for it to work, such as keeping a questionnaire or the practitioner portal signed in. If you book through the embedded Calendly calendar, Calendly may set its own cookies, which are covered by Calendly’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@wellmethod.ie. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Medical disclaimer
The information on this website, and any introductory assessment or consultation, is for general health and wellness purposes. It is not a substitute for medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment, and should not be relied on in place of advice from your GP or another qualified healthcare provider. If you have an urgent or specific medical concern, please contact your GP or appropriate healthcare provider. In an emergency, call 112 or 999.
